Greetings to all! We cordially invite you to join us for an unforgettable old-fashioned hymn sing! Get ready to experience the uplifting power of music under the expert direction of our talented musician, Michael W. Hillestad. No matter your religious background – whether you are Lutheran, Catholic, Pentecostal, Baptist, Presbyterian, or any other denomination – we share a common bond through the timeless and cherished hymns of faith.

This event is designed to be inclusive and welcoming to people from all walks of life. In these challenging times, it's heartwarming to know some gatherings foster community and shared joy. There's nothing quite like the pure exhilaration of singing inspiring songs together, and the sense of unity we find in these shared moments is truly special. We warmly encourage you to participate and sing along, but if you prefer to simply listen and soak in the beautiful melodies, you are more than welcome to do so. While we will have a selection of hymns prepared in advance, we will also be accepting your requests! We'll have handy note cards available so you can jot down your favorite hymn requests throughout the event. Many who have attended these gatherings in the past have expressed their deep appreciation for the uplifting atmosphere and the incredible artistry of Michael, who brings these hymns to life with his passion. We sincerely hope you will join us for this joyous celebration!

This exciting event will begin at 1:30 pm on Sunday, October 18th, at the Sun Prairie United Methodist Church, which is located at 702 North Street in beautiful Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. We will collect a free will offering for the Sunshine Supper Fund used by the church when it serves Sunshine Supper in the community 4 times a year. Be sure to invite everyone you know, and we look forward to seeing you!

Time: 1pm

This month we will enjoy a presentation by Mayor of Sun Prairie, Steve Stocker. He will be talking about the current state of Sun Prairie. Steve Stocker has been a member of the community for over 50 years, moving to Sun Prairie on New Year's Eve in 1973. Mayor Stocker was elected as Mayor in April 2025.

Date: October 24th 

Time: 9 am – 12 pm. (Weather permitting).

We plan to:

·         Rake up any leaves that have fallen

·         Clean-up/dispose of any dead flower tops, brushy tops, and weeds etc from around the church grounds

·         Remove several more dead or dying trees between the church and Northside Elementary.

If you have:

·         Yard tools (rakes, pruners, etc)

·         a chain saw and can help cut down and/or cut up the trees

·         a truck/trailer and can haul the yard waste/brush/firewood away

·         a burn pile/firepit/outdoor furnace and would like some of the firewood

please consider joining us for several hours for the clean-up.

In the event of rain or high winds, we will reschedule to November 14th for additional fall clean up.

Trick or Treat your way through the hallways of our education wing in your costume and receive lots of Halloween goods. You will stop at decorated doors throughout our building. This event is free and open to the community.

Join us for a weekend of rest, relaxation, rejuvenation, and fellowship! November 13-15, 2026, at Pine Lake United Methodist Camp outside of Westfield, WI. The cost is $150.00 per person (double occupancy). All lodging, meals, and materials are included in the cost. Single room cost is $240 per person.
