Outreach

Outreach is focused on reaching out into our community and world. We support numerous projects within Sun Prairie and the world. Below is a list of organizations that we support.

Loose Coin Offering

4th quarter loose coins will go to support Objective Veteran's Smile. This is a non-profit organization providing dental care to veterans and their families. Unless a veteran is 100% service related disabled the VA does not provide dental care. So many go without dental care, affecting their health and self image. Object Veteran's Smile partners with Delta Dental and Physician's Mutual to provide care. Write loose coins on the memo line of your check or place coins in the offering plate.

Sunshine Supper

Sunshine Supper is a FREE community meal offered to anyone on Monday evenings. Sun Prairie United Methodist Church provides a meal quarterly – once in January, April, July, and October. We ask for donations of certain foods, beverages, desserts along with people to help serve the meal. We also ask for monetary donations to purchase food to serve. Watch the website, social media and announcements during worship to donate food items or money to purchase food items or to sign up to help. Families can volunteer together – kids 11 - 16 can volunteer with an adult.

Sun Prairie Food Pantry

Throughout the year, our church conducts regular food drives for both the Sun Prairie Emergency Food Pantry and the Northside Elementary School. Both groups provide needed food supplies for the Sun Prairie community, so children and families have adequate food for meals.

Stuff the Bus 

Sunshine Place is collects backpacks for distribution in Sun Prairie at the beginning of each school year. Please watch our weekly newsletter and the website for information about how to donate in summer 2027.

Spirit of Giving 

Many people in the SP area struggle to make ends meet and purchase Christmas gifts for their children. Every year, SPUMC has a Spirit of Giving Tree with tags hanging on it to purchase a child a gift. Watch for more information in November.

Northside Elementary School Community Partner

Our church serves as a community partner with our neighboring school Northside Elementary. Throughout the year we partner through providing donations of items need or volunteering to help with school projects.
