Denise Woods

Nursery care Specialist

Denise grew up in Florida, spending her summers and winters in Sun Prairie with her grandparents. She attended Sun Prairie United Methodist Church during those visits. Upon graduation, Denise moved to the

Sun Prairie area and began serving in the nursery. She also leads Children’s Church and Preschool Sunday School.

Denise graduated from the University of Florida with a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education in 2001. She has a Registry Certificate of Achievement from the state of Wisconsin. Denise has been working with children for over 20 years.

Denise and her husband, Chris, have two wonderful daughters. They enjoy spending time with their three cats.

As the Nursery Care Specialist, Denise loves engaging children in play while making connections to Bible stories. She particularly enjoys coming up with creative ways for the children to learn about God in a fun and nurturing space and seeing the joy on their faces.
