Beth Smeaton

Director of Vacation Bible School

Beth grew up in Sun Prairie and comes from a family centered in education and faith. During the school year, Beth works as an Elementary Art Teacher. She joins the Sun Prairie United Methodist Church staff each summer to serve as the director for our Vacation Bible School program 

Beth earned a B.S. in Art Education from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in 2021. She holds a Wisconsin lifetime teaching license for art education in grades PK-12. Through her role as a public school teacher, Beth also has training in the areas of Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) and culturally responsive teaching and learning practices. 

Beth loves spending her summers as a member of our church staff because of the teamwork, friendship, and fellowship that make Vacation Bible School such a special ministry. She is grateful to play a role in a Children's Ministry program that brings joy and sparks connections between people of all ages in our church and broader community.
