Amanda Hinthorn

Director of Technology and Online Communications

Born and raised United Methodist, Amanda has spent her adult working years on church staffs. Amanda came to Sun Prairie in August 2012. She served as the Director of Christian Education for almost 10 years before transitioning to her current role in 2022.

Amanda earned a B.A. in Broadcasting from Western Illinois University in 2006. She earned a Children's Ministry Certification from Group Publishing in 2019 and holds a number of different certifications from Nonprofit Ready.

In addition to being on SPUMC's staff Amanda has curriculum writing experience in partnership with GenOn Ministries. She also serves on the Wisconsin Annual Conference Diversity Council and is actively involved in conference level diversity training.

Amanda loves being on church staff and helping our church members and community members connect and grow together through worship, digital tools, small groups, or community outreach and social justice. She is a true believer in the power of relationships with God and others.
