Chancel Choir

You are invited to join Chancel Choir! We are an adult mixed choir who sing a variety of music from traditional to gospel. Some people who used to sing would love to join the choir, but are too nervous to start again. I have encouraged numerous people who said they could not sing to join choir. By the end of the year they loved singing and couldn’t imagine what they were afraid of! Chancel Choir is full of many talented singers, all of whom would love to help you work through any singing problems. Musical talent is not a prerequisite to join Chancel Choir...only a desire to praise God through music.

In Chancel Choir we sing many different types of music. In the course of three weeks, we have sung an a capella hymn, an African-American spiritual, and a gospel tune. All three pieces were moving in their own way. The fun comes from being a part of a group that strives to create excellence in music, as well as creating music that gives glory to God!

Chancel Choir meets Wednesday evenings from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. We sing most Sundays at 10:45 a.m. Every second and fifth Sunday we sing at 8:30 a.m. We perform a large work Christmas or Easter Cantata, alternating years. Past pieces include John Rutter’s Requiem and A Festival of Lessons and Carols. If you have questions, contact Andrew Estervig

Now is a great time to try a wonderful and new way to praise God!

Sing to the Lord, all the earth; proclaim his salvation day after day.  – 1 Chronicles 16:23

Treble Tones

Women of all ages are encouraged to join TREBLE TONES, our three-part women’s chorus. We rehearse every Sunday morning, 9:40-10:15 in the Music Room. We cover a large variety of musical styles...from classical...to traditional...to an occasional country style contemporary, and everything in between! We generally sing the first Sunday of every month at the 8:30 a.m. worship service.

If you’re a busy singer with no evenings free, think about this Sunday morning group! For more information, please contact Mary Hartkopf

Radiance!

Radiance! Is our Saturday evening worship praise team, leading music each week – year ‘round. We are a family-style group consisting of vocalists and musicians from Fifth Grade through Adult.

We have an assortment of electric and acoustic instruments (guitars, bass, piano, drums, percussion, and more!). Our style of music is Christian contemporary and Christian rock. We do a few standards, but with a Radiance twist! Radiance started in December 2000. The night we began, we were asked never to stop! Radiance rehearses each Thursday, 7-8:30 p.m., September through May. Additional members – vocalists or instrumentalists – are always welcome! For additional information email Michael Hillestad or contact him at 837-5554.

Singing Churchmen

This is a group of men of all ages who enjoy singing or learning how to sing with a group of guys who are helpful, supportive, and fun. No experience necessary — we’re eager to help you learn how to have a good time singing. Rehearsals are every Sunday between services generally in the sanctuary. We sing at service(s) about one Sunday a month. Our director chooses music of all types and all levels; and if she think we can do it, we can! If you have any questions, please contact Pam Girard.

Rehearsals are Sunday mornings, 9:45-10:15 a.m., in the Sanctuary. Men, consider joining this group if you can carry a tune. New members are ALWAYS welcome.

Heaven's Handbells

Our handbell choir rehearses Tuesday evenings, 6:00-7:00 p.m. We generally ring the fourth Sunday of the month. We enjoy combining with other instruments – such as the organ, flute, or drums – and have enjoyed “special” ringing for nursing homes and other outside groups.

We have a 4 octave set and are in need of additional ringers high school freshmen through adult welcome (ability to read music is appreciated for this group).

This is a “lively” group!! If you have an interest in joining us or have us share with your group contact Mary Hartkopf
