Sun Prairie United Methodist Church provides a comprehensive Christian education program for children and youth with wide variety of opporunities for children to learn about and experience God's love. From Church School for preschoolers through high school students, to Vacation Bible School, to the LOGOS program, to Confirmation Class and many Youth Ministry opportunities, children and youth at SPUMC are welcomed as active participants in a positive, dynamic faith community. Children through young adults experience God's love, learn, and grow in their faith through opportunities to participate in worhip, music, drama, recreation, service to others, and fellowship with their peers and adults.

Church School

As part of SPUMC's Christian Education Program, Church School is in session from September through May. The last church school weekend of 2011 is May 21st and 22nd.

Saturday night Church School is offered immediately following Children's time in worship and runs until 6:15 p.m. Church School on Saturday is offered for children from age three years old through 6th grade.

Sunday school is offered on Sundays from 9:45-10:30 am. Sunday School is offered for children ages three years old through adults.

Dates are set for our Summer Programs!  Mark your calendars!

Youth Training Day -   This is an afternoon and evening for students entering 6th grade and above to learn about being a youth helper in our church.  These students often help our for Vacation Bible School and other programs we have for younger students throughout the year.  We also use this time to practice skits and take on roles for the opening section of VBS, which the youth lead.  We have fabulous youth and this training helps them immensely!  This training is REQUIRED by any youth who would like to help with VBS.

Vacation Bible School -  VBS is for children entering 4K through those entering 5th grade.  There is a lot of excitement and energy in our church in the mornings as the children have recreation, crafts, music, snack, Bible story and a large group kick off! 
Date:  Monday, August 6th - Thursday, August 9th 9 - 11:30 a.m.
**  The VBS kids will perform some of their songs in worship the weekend of the 11th and 12th **


Music and Drama Camp-   MAD camp is for children entering 1st grade through entering 7th grade.  There are snacks, art, recreation and Bible stories, but much time is spent planning and practicing the performance that the campers perform the following weekend in worship.
Date:  Monday, August 13th - Friday, August 17th
**  Tryouts for speaking parts are held Sunday, August 12th at 6 p.m.
*** The children perform the production on Saturday, August 18th at 5 p.m. and Sunday, August 19th at 10 a.m.
