Knit One/Pray One

We have an active prayer ministry called Knit One/Pray One. Unlike the Prayer Chain which is activated through the phone or email, the Knit One/Pray One group meests at 10 a.m. on the third Monday of the month to knit or crochet lap robes, prayer shawls, caps and mittens. The shawls and lap robes are given to people when they are ill or otherwise need to sense God's love. The hats and mittens are shared in many ways. Each fall we provide our United Methodist Children's Service in Milwaukee with 40 or 50 hats and mittens to be used as needed there. We also provide hats and mittens for the North Side Elementary School in Sun Prairie. Currently we are making caps for new borns in cooperation with the “Save the Children’s” organization.
At our meetings we spend an extensive time in prayer - usually praying for concerns that were raised in worship or brought to the Prayer Chain. Our membership is small, but we provide a vital ministry.
